Enable deep copy of CAS

As requested in the PR of issue 328 (remove annotations in range/create cut-out of sofa) it would be more sensible to return a modified copy of the original CAS rather than to modify the original itself.

For this reason I have developed a deep copy function for the CAS object. Please review the corresponding PR.
