Problem or limitation

I tried to build and then make it with vitasdk but with no luck. I reached to a point, where after the "make" command a small window pops up and plays the opening animation, then many errors and the compiler quits. I didn't edited the program files, just the CMakeLists.txt. I use WSL on Windows with Ubuntu.

Proposed solution

Please make it to support PS Vita devices, it would be awesome. Thank you very much!

Does PS Vita support OpenGL ES 3.0? I'm afraid it doesn't, then it does not meet the minimum hardware requirements.
It would mean rewriting rendering part of the game engine (and probably downgrading all shaders, because this reimplementation uses shaders extensively) and I don't want to spend time on that, but I accept pull requests

I ported Jazz² Resurrection to PS Vita with vitasdk (see https://github.com/deathkiller/jazz2-native/tree/gl2 branch). Everything builds fine, but I can't test it, it will probably not run. Definitely all file paths will be wrong, probably some shaders will not compile, OpenGL ES 2.0 rendering may be glitchy. I wanted to try it in Vita3K, but it crashes instantly, I don't know why. So without the actual device, I probably won't be able to move it any further.

Assuming you're using vitaGL for the GL backend, you need to extract libshacccg.suprx for Vita3K usage as well + you need to compile vitaGL with HAVE_VITA3K_SUPPORT=1.

Yeah, but it still crashes instantly. Either my libshacccg.suprx is wrong (I don't have anything to extract it from) or something else is not correct. I tried printing something to stdout. I assume Vita3K redirects it to the console, but nothing showed up, Vita3K probably crashes even before that. Last lines from Vita3K output:

Do you have any C++ static initializer that relies on allocation and/or mutex and similar constructs? These would get fired BEFORE newlib inits its heap, causing a crash.

Also, pass -fno-optimize-sibling-calls on Vita build: it caused a lot of issues on several different projects going with that on.

I think it's too early, I don't want to promise anything yet.

@Rinnegatamante Thanks, I added -fno-optimize-sibling-calls, custom main() function and also adjusted some paths. I don't remember all static allocations, there could be a lot of problematic places. If there are no symbols to help, I will try to go through all of them somehow.

I managed to fix it somehow, then it was crashing on every static variable in any function. Fortunately, I fixed it by -fno-threadsafe-statics.
Now, it's crashing while compiling shaders, in glAttachShader.

I don't know what's wrong, there are no logs from Vita3K. Are there any other open-source games that uses shaders, so I can compare the code?
