Borg. What other remote backends are supported ? rclone?

Unless I'm missing something, Borg only supports Borg remotes - it doesn't support rclone.
You could rclone mount and try borg-ing to it, but that doesn't count and also seems to have problems: rclone/rclone#3641

I too wonder how rclone made it in the list.
I just tried this but even though rclone was mounted with limits on vfs cache age and size, it still clogged up the entire drive.
Maybe it may be due to the cloud provider, PCloud though, rather than borg, rclone, or the way they work together.
