The 'X' on initial screen does not always terminate program #20239

@Garry611

Description

@Garry611

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones

Describe the bug

It appears if you are not using multiple workspaces by leaving the box unchecked in preferences, the 'X' on the initial screen terminates the program. But if multiple workspaces is checked in the preferences, the 'X' causes the program to continue with the workspace apparently undefined. It is not clear if this is a method to bypass the workspace selection.

Steps to reproduce

1: start program
2: select the 'X' in the upper right corner of the initial screen
3: Depending on checkbox for multiple workspaces in preferences, it terminates or does not terminate program

Expected behavior

I think the 'X' should always terminate program based on current other program standards
