Not seeing ***yTuner*** following reconfigured for new modem router

I have an odd problem.

I've been given a replacement modem/router, and on that device I have recreated the fixed IP addresses for my Marantz internet radio and the rPi running yTuner (192.168.0.6 & .07 respectively)

The internet radio connects to yTuner, and when I flip between saved stations I can see in Terminal the various GET /ytuner/icon... commands to successfully redirect the internet radio to the selected station URL.

BUT on the device's Internet Radio main menu, I no longer get the yTuner option allowing me to search or recall Favourites from the .ini file etc.

What has gone sideways, and how do I resolve it?

The router was a like-for-like swap (replaced by internet service provider).
It does have uPNP, but that was never used on initial setup.

Have performed a complete power-off of the rPi (192.168.0.7) and restart of services has not solved the problem.
However, the radio (192.168.0.6) is now showing an Internet Radio menu of its default "RadioMarantz.com" as if the proxy settings as if the yTuner.ini file does not have an DNSServer intercept to redirect to the rPi

But it does - nothing within the yTuner setup on the rPi has been altered at all. The only thing that has been changed on getting the new modem is fixed IP addresses assigned by MAC address recognition of both the radio and the raspberry Pi.

ss -tulpn (minus tulpn)

Post the result here !

Also type:

nslookup marantz.vtuner.com and/or radiomarantz.com on that device.

you will see than the issue when it shows not the ip address of your ytuner service device !

I'll have a look at those settings, but before you wrote I did the following:

• did a hard reset on the Marantz internet radio and set up internet access from scratch

I can now see in Terminal that issuing commands on the radio will trigger a DNS Query Intercept AND on the radio itself I can now see the yTuner menu ... so it looks like the internet radio is retaining old internet settings that can only be cleared out by a system reset.

However, whilst the radio can get to yTuner favourites, it fails to play them. So I will try the actions you suggested above, but am wondering if yTuner could need a change to the URL where it is looking for radio-browser.info

Hmm. typing in nslookup for the first address gives

bash: nslookup: command not found

port 80 and 53 is missed !

type:

Post result. It looks like ytuner is not enabled to run ytuner as a service.

Or you didn't use my install script in the package.

re the installation, this was first set up in March with the ytuner-1.2.6-armhf-linux-rpi-0-1.zip file pack.

From your logs and messages, I gather that you have not installed the ytuner.service properly. This means that you are starting it manually, which I do not recommend. You should install ytuner.service. See my posts and the ytuner-install.sh script. However, since the service is running according to your screenshot, you should be able to listen to the radio.

Tip: run the small Raspberry Pi without a GUI and use terminal commands via SSH access. If the Raspi is equipped with 512MB of memory or more, you could possibly run pihole and ytuner on the device and use pihole as a DNS server. Then set the dnsmasq rules for the vtuner.com (Marantz) domains on the pihole.

This gaves you the ability to use dhcp settings on your radio, while pihole and ytuner do the job on the raspberry pi.
