Logging

There seems to be a lack of logging throughout the application. I see where the logging module is imported but not used. I propose logging be added to improve tracing/debugging.

I can handle this, if you agree.

The problem is, these logs can't be persistent as our current hosting (Heroku), deletes all local files on every reset (every 24hrs).
