Android unusual scroll to top when long holding

Describe the issue

While trying to perform the repro steps for another bug report I just filed, I noticed that every time I try to paste at the end of a long document I get scrolled up, which hides the android text menu to paste, preventing me from pasting. (Maybe just be an issue with the /try tool?)

This appears to be another Chrome EditContext bug. It goes away when the edit context API isn't used, and can be reproduced on this demo. I've reported the issue, but I don't expect it to be fixed all that fast (people starring issues on that bug tracker sometimes helps). Unfortunately, I was not able to find a workaround, short of disabling EditContext (which you can do with EditorView.EDIT_CONTEXT = false), but that will break some other input patterns on Android (the only reason we're using this buggy API is that it provides a way to isolate the editor from the even more buggy composition handling on Android).

Actually, I'm seeing this with normal tapping, not just long holding. So maybe the bug you're describing is a different one? The one I'm seeing is causing so much nonsense scrolling that it's hard to isolate the issue you describe, unfortunately.

I'm not sure. I decided to report the issue as it showed up in the demo as I was trying to reproduce the other bug. I have not seen it in our app though as we are using EDIT_CONTEXT = false.

Let me know if you'd like me to try any other repro steps.
