Plugin (Chamilo Designer) loading help

I downloaded the zip and tried to install into chamilo. It specified I had a setting preventing upload of third party plugins. Where do I find the setting? A solution was to manually upload, which I did, but when you try to activate in the plug in manager, the check box does not stay checked. I'm presuming some file/folder setting is not correct. Anyone help? The page designer looks ideal and makes designing courses easier.

The 'plugin_upload_enable' setting in Chamilo allows administrators to enable or disable the ability to upload plugins to the platform. This feature is typically found in the administration settings under the plugins section.

What do you mean by "tried to install into Chamilo"?
Does your last message means you managed to make it working, so no more help needed?
Chamilo-studio is NOT an integrated Chamilo plugin, it is a third party one.
This means that you have to install it in addition to the existing.
Note that CS+ is a very good plugin though!

exactly as i wrote.... select the option to load a plugin, select from local hard disk, press button "load"; error message given, cannot continue because 3rd party plugins are disabled. To do this, set the plugin_upload_enable to enable, but i dont know where to find this switch.

also, when I say tried to make it work, I also attempted the manual option - download the zip, upload the files to the plugins area on the server, go into the plugins section and voila it is listed there. However, 1) the enable check box does not stay ticked, 2 studio button doesn't appear anywhere. I presume some file or folder attribute is not set correctly.

Well, there is a readme that is a bit straight forward!
You need to select Pre-footer otherwise you won't see it.
Eventhough the tick box doesn't stay ticked, if you did what is written in the readme you will have the option.
Note the icon is only visible when you create a new Learning path...
You will see a CS+ icon showing-up.
Try this and you may enjoy using CS+

ok, so I have been back into the website Chamilo Studio, it's pretty much useless; there are no contact details except referrals to the "paid" advisors of Chamilo LMS. The docs section runs through creating a page, but nothing about installing or problem-solving.

The answer above says "pre-footer", and I have no idea where to look or what this means. I have yet to find any readme.

I've been back into my installed Chamilo plugin page, and the item that I manually uploaded is at the top of the list...

It says installed. The active tick is not there, and when I tick and save, the tick disappears, and the "updated" message shows.

I've also downloaded the other version (free), which doesn't say TOOLS, but there are no instructions in the ZIP to see how to install it.

I was told the icon shows in the new learning paths. I went into a course, added a new learning path, and no icon for the designer is shown anywhere.
hopefully I can include a screenshot of this.

With no technical help from the designers, no way to contact them, a simple problem or misunderstanding could be fixed quickly. Obviously, it must work; the posters here say it's great.

OK I'm back in front of my platform.
First of all, ensure you have the CS+ plugin downloaded as a zip file.
Then unzip the CS+
As I don't know your architecture (hard to help with this poor set of info) I point you through the directory assuming the root directory of Chamilo is called chamilo.
Go then to chamilo/plugin and upload there th UNZIPED directory (named adv_oel_tools_teachdoc or something close to that).
From Admin tab of your platform, click on the plugin link (the third one from the top in Platform section).
The first plugin should be C-Studio Open eLearning Tools v 1.11.26.x
Click on Region and select pre_footer
Down the page, activate it.
Back to the plugin (out of this actiovation page), you may hateve settings or configuration or something close (the plugin only have 2 buttons to set it up and you just clicked on one, so it is the other one).
From here you only have a tick box which is a ON/OFF base box: you click once, you enable, you tick a second time, you disable the plugin!
I agree with you there is a strange thing, as the box seems not ticked regardless it is enabled or not....
Tick the box and save.
The box will appear not ticked, but forget it!
Go to Administration main page an click onn the link empty cache. I tell you to do this, because it seems that you tried several things and I'm not sure on what you did.
Wait untill you get the message of completion
Ten click on Ctrl key + F5 simultaneously ( )
create a course and go to learning path, you may see CS+ icon.
If it is not the case, go back to the plugin and try to actiate it. Remember the tick box will not remain ticked!
