Refresh problem when using html5Mode

Hi,
Today I added html5Mode to the angular part of your app, so there is no /#!/ in the url path. Unfortunately the well known issue appears when I try to refresh the page at localhost:8080/messages I get an error saying: Cannot GET /messages. I have tried adding a to the index.html file, and a middleware to json-server that would serve the static html files, but it doesn't work. Is there any chance you could point me in the right direction please?
