incorrect updated of parent control in case of using options with same text (different values)

In case we have a select control with two+ options with the same text but different values, nice-select updates parent control value incorrectly.
Like this:

<select>
<option value="0">Option A</option>
<option value="1">Option B</option>
<option value="2">Option B</option>
</select>

This does not make sense to me, the displayed text should always be unique
