Automatic Zenodo Generation

Scientists love when their work is published and cited - how about we add another tag called reference and create for all components without reference an automatic zenodo shield ? (https://zenodo.org/)

Hi,

Awesome idea. I think we planned to have a papers section in the package.json.

However I am not so sure how we can automatically create a zenodo release? AFAIK Zenodo doesn't has an API for that and they themself need access to certain github permissions - at least they require you to be owner of the repo & have a zenodo account.

I consider to close this as we can't automatically generate DOIs without an extensive work. It is very easy for to enable Zenodo if a users wishs its component to be citable.

However if we include an array of publication (PMIDs), DOIs generated by Zenodo will not be in pubmed and thus we can't retrieve the citation information.
