This was a great initial effort. Since I needed it to work under Windows I ported it to use HID instead of raw USB under Python, made it a module and also made sure that it works under Windows and Linux and also supports the FNAC-28. This is a relatively new device and not quite as fancy but by far the cheapest of the bunch.
