interacting with right streetview breaks in stereo in mobile web browser

Running the streetview sample, and switching into HMD mode brings up two street views. Moving and dragging works, as long as you only touch the left subview.  Touching the right one, if you touch the street view controls, causes the right view to start moving, but then it remains black.
