aab vs apk

There shouldn't be many changes, but the thing I'd most suspect is around the ABI that's chosen, e.g. if the APK is packaging an armv7 binary but the device is armv8 .. from my reading of the System.loadLibrary specs, the operating system should be able to find and load the armv7 binary, but I'm not sure that this is working properly. So you may need to double-check (a) the command line is correctly identifying the ABI, and (b) the APK file has the correct folder/file under its "lib" folder for this. If there's any issues, please share the ADT troubleshooting log.. thanks |

Trying to compile an apk, but when installed on the phone, we just get a black screen.
An aab on the other hand, with the same settings in terms of manifest and extensions, runs ok.
@ajwfrost Anything changed here in compiling apks?
