I'm interested in TaskLite. To be honest, I'm a Python beginner. Last year, I wrote a task management CLI tool using Python and SQLite in my free time, but the project was only semi-finished. A few days ago, when I was thinking of giving my project a formal name, "TaskLite" came to mind. Then I discovered that a project with this name already existed—and it was exactly what I had been looking for! I was so excited.

What impressed me the most are the values behind this tool and the fact that you use it daily. I feel so lucky to have found TaskLite in such a special way.

Unfortunately, I ran into trouble at the very first step—installing Haskell. 😂 Maybe you can't imagine it, but I'll make it through!

Wow, thank you so much for your reply! I've figured out the issue.

My computer runs on Windows 10, and I attempted to install and uninstall Haskell three times. However, every time I ran stack install tasklite-core, I encountered an error message like unix... unbuildable<0.

At first, I was puzzled by what unbuildable<0 meant. After some digging, I discovered that the unix-2.8.6.0 dependency is not compatible with Windows. It's designed for Unix-based systems, which explains the error.

To work around this, I installed Ubuntu on Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and managed to get TaskLite running smoothly there.

Awesome! Glad you were able to get it running! How is it going so far?

I should try to get it running on Windows some day. Shouldn't be too hard to only use the unix parts on Linux/macOS with the right ifdefs.
