Thank you for your interest in this. I'd love for you to contribute to this, and I'm happy to help along the way. Here are some more details for the implementation plan.

This would be a two-part implementation, one for the frontend (React) and the second for the backend (Flask API). The resume is generated from the backend; hence, we need to implement this with caution. Since every update might send an HTTP request, which might be a lot for the backend. The backend is quite straightforward, it's all in app.py. For the frontend, you can look into adding a new component for preview that would be eventually rendered into Editor.tsx.

I'm thinking we implement a new endpoint something like /preview/img that re-uses the generate_resume functionality as is and on top of it converts the PDF into PNG and serves it. PyMuPDF might be a good option.

I can look into the frontend part.

I do have some performance related concerns but they are mostly within the pdf generation itself, but there is a plan to look into them seperately and once the performance is improved, the preview would automatically benefit from it.

You can setup the backend using docker, instructions can be found in the README.
