Acquisition of SketchUp model from iphone lidar scan

Your workflow for this tool begins with a throwaway line:

"I started by creating a 3D sketchup model of the house..."

This bit is pretty hard for most people, and is probably the major blocker.

Fortunately there's now an app that works in new iPhones which makes use of the lidar to create a point scan.

This has an in-app purchase to send your scan sent off to someone who draws it up in SketchUp for a couple hundred $s.

An example of what we got back is attached. If the quality is good enough, you could add it this to the hypothetical toolchain as the first step for normal people to be able to get these models up and running.

Thanks Julian, Looks really nice! I agree building a sketchup model and then transferring dimensions is a PITA!! :)
See my comment on your other issue about my intentions for this project, it has met my goals and at least for the time being my energy is focused elsewhere. Your very welcome to fork or incorporate the tool in your own work if that's useful.
