Sync stops when screen is off

Describe the bug
When the app is syncing if the screen goes off the sync stops or slows down to a crawl. Even waking the device seems to push some data, but then stops again. Have to keep the app open and screen on for the full sync which can take over 20 min.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open app
2. Click SYNC NOW
3. Wait for display timeout
4. Server logs stop updating
5. Wake screen - Logs update
6. Exit app - Logs stop

Expected behavior
App to sync in the background with screen off.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Device: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
• OS: Android 14
• Version: One UI 6.1

Additional context
Disabled battery optimization and gave all the permissions

I have the same issue on a S21, applying the steps on https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung doesn't seem to make a difference.

I have this same issue..
Keeping the app in background or closing the app slowing down or stop syncing but notification stays without closing.

Device: Nothing phone 2
