Description
This is my first time using this mod manager, and I'm frustrated.
I created a new preset, selected the preset on the top right corner.
In the "Enabled mods" tab, I disabled some mods and sorted. The preset was auto saved, all good and I can launch the game.
Now I know that to actually save this temporary sorting, I need to go to the right column, unclasp "Edit Presets" to reveal the hidden "Replace preset" dropdown menu, select the current preset again, even though it is already selected just above in the "Select or create preset".
But before that, I switch to the "Presets" tab, I selected the current preset and removed the disabled mods from the preset.
I noticed the preset was unsorted here, and wondered why the sorting was not updated to this list. But sorting again here was too much work, plus I thought the preset was saved automatically, what could go wrong. I pressed "Save" button. Checked "Enabled mods" tab, sorting unchanged, good. Checked "All Mods" tab, wait, unchanged? Shouldn't the preset be shorter now?
I switched back to "Presets" tab and pressed "Use" button. And now I'm here complaining.
Thank you for your hard work. I appreciate this mod manager like many others.
Below are suggestions that might help fist-time users to save some time.
- Need a more obvious SAVE BUTTON in "Enabled mods" tab. Or sync the "Enabled mods" tab sorting to the selected preset at the top right corner automatically.
- Perhaps replace the "All Mods" tab with the "Edit Presets" tab. I find the "All Mods" tab changes and does nothing, it doesn't even react to the top right corner "Select or create presets" menu, which seems to do nothing as well.
- Personally, I prefer the drag&drop experience similar to https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1238. It's SLOWER, accurate, and smooth. Extending the whole list upon dragging causes me to lose sense of direction.
