Apply path substraction after erasing to recalc bbox

Hi, is it possible to collapse a path down if it gets shortened?
I'd like for example the bounding box to shrink accordingly. I understand that's not possible for a shape.

As an aside, is this meant for the Fabric beta only? Might be worth a few more words in the readme :)

You can try to use path substraction to accomplish that, for example

Or paper.js
The fabric binding is meant for v6, v5 is a waste of time, too many bugs.

It came to mind that you are looking for boolean operations (mentioned above, path substraction).
I have been approached about this again yesterday.
It might be this is a legit part of erasing functionality because the bbox is expected to update after erasing a part of the object.
