I’m using the R extension Data Viewer in VS Code, and I’ve noticed that when a column contains long strings or large content, the Data Viewer automatically expands the cell width to fit everything. This often makes the table very hard to use, because some columns take up all the horizontal space.
Is there currently a way to set a maximum column width in the Data Viewer, so that long values are truncated with … while keeping the data intact? If not, is this something that could be added as a feature, either globally or per-column?
