Support for Async Placeholder Requests

Currently, PAPI requires expansions to replace placeholders in a blocking fashion, this is limiting in what the placeholder can do. Hence either an addition of a Callback/Future variant of setPlaceholders or making the default variant itself return a Future could be a very useful change.
