Feature Request: Generate repeat events for devices which only do press & release

The Sony PS3 BD Bluetooth Remote only generates key press & release events, but no repeat events while the button is being pressed (verified by using evtest /dev/input/...).
On the other hand it seems that eventlircd does not generate such key repeats by itself, making it impossible to scroll lists in Kodi by holding down the key on such remotes.

Still same issue here on MX3, regulating quickly sound up or down is accordingly painful.
