Automatic update doesn't work anymore

In the past I used to click on "update all extensions" and I would be prompted for each installation, it was semi-automatic, now that button directly downloads the.crx file (`chrome://flags/#extension-mime-request-handling` is set to `Always prompt for install`). Nothing changed in the configuration/settings, one day it simply stopped working. Both on Flatpak and Nix packages.
