I discussed your feedback with Engineering team. As per them, by default SnapCenter uses ZAPI (ONTAP API), so this doc still holds good.

SnapCenter switches to REST (http) when user enables it or in case of using ASA r2 systems.
We have an equivalent page for the same: Create ONTAP cluster roles for ASA r2 systems
This info can be used for non-ASA r2 systems also.

Thus, there is nothing to fix. I am closing this comment. Feel free to reopen if you still have concerns.

The issue is that if I follow that document when deploying snapcenter I can't deploy snapcenter so the doc is not good.
