Description
Describe the bug
On Kubuntu 24.04 the time remaining notification does not persist. It flickers for less than a second, then disappears. All other system notifications behave and persist for the time set in the OS notification settings panel. The user inactivity notification from Libki also behaves and persists properly.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Install Libki on Kubuntu 24.04 and wait for the notification.
Expected behavior
The Notification should pop up and persist for the time interval set in the OS settings. (Mine are set to 10 seconds)
Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
Kubuntu 24.04 all recent updates. Libki was cloned from github and compiled Oct. 10th. Should be the latest version.
Additional context
I thought the problem may be with KDE and its notification system. I disabled the KDE notification system and installed and application called dunst to handle the notifications. The dunst program gave the same results, the user inactivity notification pops up and persists for the set amount of time (10 seconds) , but the user time remaining notification pops up and disappears right away. I did have a command line open at one point and was messing around with dunst and its configuration and I think I have an error message from dunst from when Libki was trying to pop up the time remaining notification. "CRITICAL source ID 20 was not found when attempting to remove it CRITICAL: source ID 27 was not found when attempting to remove it" but I could be mistaken.
