Description
Plan each board for different CAN failure modes
- Bus saturated (limited messages)
- Bus oversaturated (no messages)
- CAN disconnect
- Message error (eg CRC)
- Board unresponsive / refusing ping
- Buffers full
Verify consistently able to meet control frequency/communication requirements for critical systems, even in the event of failure of other non critical systems in the car (e.g. sensors going down, bus load spikes, etc)
