Bazzite Install FAF

I am able to get Forged Alliance working no problem, but not the FAF lobby application. May I please request some instructions to help me?

https://bazzite.gg is the Linux distro for gaming. It works really good for a lot of Steam games etc...

Came here to ask about how best to install faf on Bazzite, an immutable Fedora distro (which I picked because it plays surprisingly well with my GTX 50 gen GPU). Suggestions I've found for Wine, Java, .net are to use Bottles, create a gaming bottle, install JRE and .net in there, then the faf client, and to point it to the Steam installation of FAF (which as such is working here).

Was wondering if there is any experience with this, or if the experts think that this could work for faf... As there is already a topic on Bazzite (albeit with very little info), I'm trying to add my thoughts here... If I find time, I may just give it a try.

Ok, so I managed to install faf on Bazzite in a Distrobox, but can't get it to run, as the faf client in the container always appears to force its built-in Wine shim and refuses to hand off the game executable to Steam/Proton (installed, outside of the container). Not sure how to get rid of this:

As I understand (and I may be totally wrong), Steam ignores everything after the AppID, so the shim path becomes a dead argument and the game never actually launches.

Happy to share my install approach as a script, but given how things currently are, not sure this would make a lot of sense.

Unfortunately there is currently limited support for immutable distros. I will see if I can improve support when I have time.
