CANNOT get a connection to obs at all.

I really dont understand why i cannot get a connection to obs. i put my dang web socket info in it never goes green. ive tried obs 25, 27, 28 and 30. nothing works. all i want to do is map a filter value to a slider. all other plugins like this just let you do toggles.
anyone know whats up or have recommendations on a diffrent plugin?
