We save h5 files for many intermediate and final outputs. It would be great to incorperate some sort of header that details important information about the file. This would allow a read-in script to be smarter about what to grab from the h5 file. Besides, it's best practice anyways. Some ideas about general header structure, nonexhaustive:
- Githash, pyfhd or fhd made
- keywords/yaml file of what made it
- names of variables stored in file, and their shape
