Description
We could treat the location-intensity curve as a histogram of the location distribution.
Steps to describe this distribution:
- Normalise the location by the percentage distance to the edge of the nucleus
- Convert intensities to densities --> divide the intensities by the sum of ys
- Compute the following metrics:
- The mean of the distribution
- The mode (argmax)
- The median and quantiles --> random sampling with probabilities (see np.random.choice)
Finally compute mean of mode, mean of mean, and mean of median of all the profiles per nucleus and plot a boxplot fed vs starved
