Query regarding use of MongoDB vs PostgreSQL

I'm interested in the project and have a question regarding the database management system being used. I noticed that the project was previously using MongoDB, but I could see that the project may be switching to PostgreSQL per this: https://github.com/ChildMindInstitute/mindlogger-backend-refactor. Can you confirm if this is true?

If so, I would like to know when the new version of the project will be available for public use. Additionally, I would like to know what benefits PostgreSQL offers over MongoDB and how it will impact the project's functionality.
