When the Istio CNI reaches GA, will it be compatible with Azure CNI powered by Cilium?

Hello! We are currently running AKS managed Istio and Azure CNI. We see that the Istio CNI is newly released to preview at the start of this year, and it works with Azure CNI, but there is so far no information on whether the Istio CNI will work with Azure CNI powered by Cilium. There is a bit of info that Google AI summarizes by indicating that these do not work together in the Istio CNI preview, so I wanted to ask if this will be able to work together when it reaches GA?

We intend to switch to Azure CNI powered by Cilium, but we also would like to use the Istio CNI to avoid needing to grant NET_RAW and NET_ADMIN capabilities to every pod that is in the service mesh, so it would be a major win for us if these can work together via CNI chaining.
