Trying Out the Project with My Console #50

Hello, thank you very much for your feedback and the recordings! To put things into the context: the main goal of this project was to build a VST plugin to be used from within a DAW (or other VST host). A stand-alone functionality is kind of a byproduct, most of the functions can be achieved from within a DAW (including MIDI mapping) so there is little sense do duplicate them in a plugin. I don't actually have an organ console, so I have limited perspective on what the best interfacing with a console could be. Whatever implementation there is now, is a result of the feedback I gathered from various organists who do use a console, like yourself. The MIDI control for the stops follows the original Aeolus (Linux) protocol. |

Hello, my console setup isn’t very complex. It consists of two USB keyboards, an Arduino Due for the pedalboard, and an ESP32 with a display for controlling the stops. At some point I really need to look into using a DAW — maybe Ardour, for example. I have no experience with that yet. I’m wondering whether it would be possible to use the stops from Organnery in your Aeolus version — the ones available as .ae0 files: https://github.com/Organnery/aeolus-organs/tree/main |

Hello everyone,
I’ve been following this project for quite a while and occasionally testing it out. I have a small console here with two manuals and a pedalboard. Most of the time I use GrandOrgue or Sweelinq, and a few months ago I also bought OrganTEQ (which I kind of regret).
I thought it might be nice to make a few recordings and share them here. Maybe some of you will feel encouraged to post something as well.

My biggest criticism is the rather awkward MIDI control of the stops — a “learn” function would make things so much easier. Other than that, it’s really fun to play!
