How to install VST3 version? #41

Hi, I was already able to give the standalone version a try, as it is a simple .exe file and I really admire your work and the sound of Aeolus. However I'm not really sure how to install the VST3 versions, on both Windows and MacOS. Could you please provide simple explanation how to do it properly for someone not used to using command line? As I guess it's not just a matter of putting .vst3 file in correct folder and abandoning all of the other files? |

Hi. I'm glad you find this useful.
For the plugin installation, indeed, you just copy the
Aeolus.vst3extracted from zip to the folder containing your VST3 plugins. On Windows there are several locations where the plugins can be installed (you can check your DAW setting to see where it is looking for the plugins). ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3and for the AU (
Aeolus.component):~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ComponentsNow, on macOS you will need to clear the
