serverless package.patterns or package.include not working with serverless-bundle

This is more like a question, not a suggestion or a bug report.

In serverless.yml, package.patterns or package.include can be defined to include some files that a handler (being deployed) is not directly  depending on.
But it seems to me that when using this plugin, somehow none of those are working.

Does anyone know why?
