Managing profiles crashes the browser

As per the subject, I thought it might have an issue with multiple profiles although the previous version didn't. So I removed Thorium and the .config/thorium folder and reinstalled (on Arch linux). Now the browser loads, but as soon as I go to add another profile, because I want to use the google sync services, it crashes the browser.
Anyone have any suggestions?

@Alex313031 Tagging you in on my observation. Bearing in mind I use Thorium because it's a Chromium based browser with google services, it's a critical issue for me and I expect others too.
