Is it possible to use different recording settings from live stream?

I’m using RootEncoder to live stream at 1080p60 and record MP4 at the same time.
For a replay feature, we cut short segments (5–10s) from the recorded file and play them using ExoPlayer.

The issue is that some devices can’t reliably decode 1080p60 H.264, so we would prefer to record the MP4 at a lower FPS/resolution (e.g. 720p30) while keeping the live stream at high quality.

Is it currently possible to configure recording settings independently from the live stream?
If not, is recording intentionally designed to always share the same encoder as streaming?

Hello,

In prepareVideo method you can set a resolution for record but the aspect ratio must be the same than the stream resolution.
Cos can't be changed so you can try record to 720p 60fps currently.
I will see if change the fps is possible because the FPS depend of the render and I will have to do a limitation on the render
