Request: detect malformed substutions

I have accidentally typed `__plural_for_parameter__1__{1=|rest=s}` an embarrassingly large number of times, and less commonly, `__ITEM__iron-plate`.

I would like to see something that detects those and generates an error reminding me to add the trailing \_\_.
