I just want to say ... thank you. I think this is the only Python slack backup script that works on the latest API.

@zefoo Did you manage to get the original backup script to work, since slack changed to the new API? I didn't know that was possible, and I would be curious to find out how.

If you meant my fork of this script, then you are welcome! Sorry I didn't realize that I had to enable issues on the fork, or else it would not let you create them there.

Howdy. I didn't get the original script to work, only your fork. :)

It does work fine, although I had to add a bit of sleeping throughout the script since I was hitting the API rate limit.
