pocketbase, for Postgres?

Thanks @Aryan3212 for bringing this up! Maybe we can discuss here for more effective ideation.

It's technically possible to put everything in single binary like pocketbase. And very helpful for development, small projects.

• Postgres: the most challenging part. cockroachdb, electric-sql/pglite (with a v8 runtime in go) could be options?
• zitadel, seaweedfs are written in go...so nothing much to do there. we can implement critical PostgREST features in pgo.
• need to work on a proxy... shouldn't be terribly difficult. or maybe embed something like traefik

Large projects can (and should) use the operator on Kubernetes.

wow! I just replaced PostgREST with pgo rest in a test app, and it's working with the same postgrest credentials! here's an example on kubernetes. pgo additionally

• implements JWKS: load public keys from a well known endpoint PostgREST/postgrest#1130
• allows basic-auth (alongside OIDC JWT and anonymous)
