Is it possible to build a Freeplane-Anki plugin based on your great work with Logseq? #318

Hi,

First of all, thank you so much for your excellent work on the Logseq-Anki sync plugin. It’s a very thoughtful and well-executed tool, and it helps a lot for those of us who combine conceptual note-taking with spaced repetition.

Personally, I’ve worked extensively with Freeplane, and I’ve also tested Logseq. While Logseq is a great tool, in my opinion Freeplane — despite being fully open-source and free — is by far the most powerful mind mapping software available.

I noticed that a plugin for integrating Freeplane with Anki was created quite a long time ago,but it is very limited and currently not functional in practice.

If it's possible to treat the parent node as the front of the card and the child nodes (e.g., tagged with #anki) as the back, it would be much simpler than the plugin already built.

One of the main issues with the existing plugin is that it is not compatible with the latest versions of Anki.
Additionally, cards deleted from Freeplane are not removed from Anki.

Given the success and polish of your Logseq plugin, I think a proper Freeplane-Anki sync could have significant value .

Also, I’ve been actively involved in the Freeplane project . I’ve submitted many ideas, suggestions, and bug reports — many of which have already been implemented. Some even led to major improvements, such as:
🔹 Issue #2010 – Improved drag-and-drop UX
And user feedback on those changes can be seen in this discussion:
🔹 Discussion #2409 – Drag-and-drop redesign feedback

Would it be possible for you to consider creating such a plugin for Freeplane-Anki integration?
If so, I’d be happy to assist by providing feedback, bug reports, or suggestions for improvement.
