Question: Multi users as a backup?

Hey 👋

I was hoping to use Watchstate as a backup db so that if anything happened to my Jellyfin (like a db migration killing everything AGAIN) I'd be able to quickly restore all users back to their correct state. But looking at subusers, it appears to expect me to have a 2nd server to send the information to. Is it possible for multi users to store their state within Watchstate (or have I missed something)?

Indeed you are correct, the sub user creator expects at min 2 servers thats how it's know how to match users between servers. However, given you are using only jellyfin, it's rather easy to manually create profiles for subusers. simply create

/config/users/{username}/ for each user, copy your servers.yaml file there and change the user ID. to match your sub user ID.
Unfortunately there is no command to automate that yet as it's a use case i haven't really considered.
