Help with Synology NAS DSM 7+ Container Manager Image install #727
-
|
Hello, I am attempting to install WatchState on my Synology NAS but I am a total newbie when it comes to containers. When I download the image and attempt to run it I am unsure the settings I need to use. I tried to leave everything as the default, however when clicking next it won't let me install the container because the Environment variable of "PACKAGES" has no pre-populated values like the rest of the variables do (such as PATH, IN_CONTAINER, WS_DATA_PATH, WS_TZ". Is there some value I need to input here? Also, do I need to enable "set up web portal via Web Station"? If I do then the Port Settings enable 8080 for HTTP (or HTTPS), if I leave it disabled then the Port Settings auto enable 8080 for TCP. Is it OK to leave it unchecked and do the default? Thank you for any assistance the dev or community can offer. I want to learn but Docker/Container Manager seems to be pretty in-depth and most guides I find are for the CLI way of installing the Containers and not for Container Manager via DSM. |

Hello, I honestly don't know how DSM works, we dont have anything called "PACKAGES" except in dockerfile build which you shouldn't be using anyhow, please try this guide https://mariushosting.com/how-to-install-ytptube-on-your-synology-nas/ and just replace what needed |
