Import viewstate export of Plex server that used XBMC agent?

I've used the XBMC plugins as metadata agents in Plex since 2017. However plugins are no longer supported in the latest versions of Plex. I have my viewstate exported following this guide. Apparently I cannot import it on recent Plex versions due to the non-standard agent (plex expects a guid instead of 'com.plexapp.agents.xbmcnfo://ttX?lang=xn').
Example lines for a movie and a tv show (replaced IDs with X):

This is what the exported sql looks like.

Would it be possible to import this into watchstate and then sync to a recent version of Plex or Jellyfin? I'd hate to lose 8 years worth of viewstates.

If you still have your plex server running with the xbmc data you can let ws ingest it and convert it and from there i think we do convert them locally into tvdb and imdb records.

If not, you would have to create something out of your records into a restore file that is understood by ws and use that to migrate.

Also i haven't heard anything about plex removing the support yet it seems they want to create alternative before they pull the plug.

Ah, I researched some more and content plugins are gone, scanner plugins should still work.
I can't run the old server any more. That ran in a freebsd jail under truenas core (freebsd based). I've since moved my NAS to truenas scale (debian based) and Plex to a fresh docker container. However I still have the old config data untouched. Do you think I could spin up a recent plex server docker container, point that to the old config, sync from that to watchstate and then from watchstate to the new Plex instance that uses the default plex scanners?

As long as plex can read the data i think yes that's possible

I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Would the Plex instance that points to my old config have to be able to access the media files (some of the paths have changed) to sync to watchstate or would starting it up with the old db (without media mounts) suffice to sync to watchstate?

For simple import and export yeah shouldn't need to have media paths we use GUIDs. As long as plex show the items via the api it should be fine.

I managed to start up the old config with a current PMS version and watchstate was able to import from it. Thank you!
