Publish a new/updated version

Is it possible to release a new version number, which references the latest commits (since the last one was 1.7.0 from 2022?)

I'm a bit short on time and unable to properly follow up on this repository.

I'll try to give a refresh to this repository this week as I have some time off.

In the meantime, there is a fork that was linked in #99. You might want to consider giving it a look!
