Context

Issue showcase: Question (Downloaded chapters management)

Basically, when migrating, downloaded chapters dont migrate with the rest of the data and remains isolated. Also, if theres some mix-up from the manga's API data, it can cause chapters to disappear, or appear without a specified volume, and sometimes cause them to duplicate (this happened to me where my downloaded chapters were separate ones than the "up-to-date" api data). This is especially a burden for us cellular data-only users since whenever something like this happens, we'd have to migrate and/or redownload the chapters.

Description

  • When migrating, include downloaded chapters in the migration process
  • Allow the user to manually manage downloaded content
    • e.g. 1: Redownload chapter option
    • e.g. 2: Swap/Overwrite chapter contents with another's
    • e.g. 3: Possibly compare current chapter list with the api's up-to-date one, almost like Github's commit conflict resolver

Example Use Case

  • Chapter Redownloading
  • Full data migration
  • Manual handling of downloaded content
