surface albedo does not include plastic mulch #511
Description
Albedo of plastic mulch is not considered in the daily update of MSALB.
- In SoilCellInit_2D.for, the initial soil albedo uses plastic mulch, but it's not done in the daily update in SOILDYN.
- MSALB_2D is calculated in subroutine SETPM in this file, but it is also not updated daily and I don't think it's currently used anywhere.
- Do we assume organic mulch cover and plastic mulch cover to be mutually exclusive? If they occur together, is organic mulch always assumed to cover plastic mulch?
Not sure how much impact this will have but we should try it.
