If you're looking for an active and fully working alternative to gitmask, you might want to try gitGost — an anonymous contribution service built in Go, privacy-focused, and currently online.

No accounts, no tokens, no extensions — just:

git remote add gost https://gitgost.leapcell.app/v1/gh/<user>/<repo>
git push gost my-branch:main

It automatically creates an anonymized PR on your behalf (no name, no email, no metadata).
